Chapter 49 The Divorce
These were her words to him, they are ringing in his ears, the warning, when she said those words her voice was deep, unlike
the woman he knew she was a different person.
"Is she not dead?" he asked.
"Son, who are you talking about? When I asked you back then, what answer did you give me?" the old man asked.
"You said that her uncle took her away, my question is where were her uncles when the mother passed away? When we found
her and when the woman made a promise right in front of everyone in the family back then, she couldn't remember who she was
and where she came from, how can you trust that trust of a woman you married?" the old man was pissed off.
"Dad, my wife, and daughter told me the same thing, every time I come home, she was clean and doing her homework how was
I supposed to know that she was being mistreated when she was always happy?
It was my mistake that I didn't protect her and I failed her and her mother, my wife could always bring me her school fee balance
how was I supposed to know that she dropped out of school at 9 years?"
"Go home and send that woman away and we will announce from today onwards we have nothing to do with this mother-
daughter duo," the old man said.
It was not as simple as it was said.
Meanwhile, the mother and daughter were in the hospital after Beatrice had fainted she was taken to the nearest hospital.

She woke up after some time and yet there was no family member around her, she could not raise her harms that's when she
realized that her left arm was broken,
"This damned! How did she become so powerful? She could sneak outside the house and she was this rich and powerful yet she
could pretend all this while, all these happened because of her, but the wait, that Phelicity, looks very different from the one I
chased outside the house, could it be that someone was trying to revenge her?" She asked herself.
At the same time, the door of her wardroom was pushed open and her little girl walked in crying and limping..

"Mother! Huhuhuhu...! I can't take this anymore, I rather die than keep on living like this, where am I going to show off my face,
everybody is calling me a witch, and my boyfriend has broken up with my mother, what am I supposed to do?
I am going to kill myself if that is what will make Phelicity happy, she wants us dead Mother I can't take it anymore." she said
crying holding her face.

"Mother, daddy has not called me and I have checked he didn't go back home, the maid said that he was called by grandpa," the
twenty-two years old girl was behaving like a child.
"What, everything is not okay, I have a bad feeling, that old man has never liked me, and with everything that happened, he will
not let this opportunity pass without chasing us away from the Adams, " She said to her daughter.
"Mother, don't worry my daddy loves us the most such a thing will not happen," Michelle said.
Just then his father walked into the wardrobe.
"Beatrice, what have you done? " he did greet them he didn't check on them or ask why was she in the hospital.
"Funny, what is happening? Since when did you stop checking up on me? Now am in this state and the only thing you can do to

me is shout at me? Funny if you don't want me and my daughter we will just pack up our things and live." she said in her most
pitiful state.
"What? Are you still using those stupid words on me, I have treated you very well till you became comfortable in another
woman's house and wealth, Beatrice when I brought you home what did I tell you back then?
I knew she was never my daughter, but then I told you to take good care of her, tell me you forced my daughter to drop out of
school the moment you stepped into the house, and as if that was not enough, you turned her into rubbish.

was your soul swapped by the soul of another monster?" he asked.
"Dad, we didn't do it, it was Phee who said that she was being bullied at school and decided to home-school, and then she
started to break mothers things saying that mother had taken her real mom's place, she will kill her and poison us, she even
accused you of being an evil man and one day she will kill you," Michelle said.

"SHUT UP! Do you think that I don't know my child? Compared to you, I knew her better, where were you taking the school fees
and where were you getting the slips, did you force the teacher to give them to you?" he asked.

her business that was because of her family background" She lied this was a pure lie, she was just talking deep down she was
praying for him to believe her.
"Here are the divorce papers sign them my dad is waiting for them, this way I can still protect you, or else you will suffer," he
