The dragon's two eyes snapped open, one golden and the second one deep blue, their reverse-slitted pupil darting around.

Dozens of notifications of his abilities leveling up filled his vision, but the dragon paid no care to them as he stretched his arm, feeling incredible force within each movement.

'So you are saying this is the path I took? Cosmic apocalypse sounds kinda poetic to me and I can see how the system came to it. I am taking on more and more of these cosmic powers... time, space, and solar storms. There is nothing that describes my current state better than cosmic chaos... or apocalyptic cosmic forces.'

The dragon looked around himself.

Around him was nothing but a void and the flickering black frost with golden and purple flames and sparks dancing around as the air, magma, and even the ground disintegrated in a large radius around him.

His body remained suspended in nothingness by the force of his domain.

He was smaller than before, but the force within his wings was so strong that their flap caused the distant islands to shake as he flapped them and slowly raised into the air. Streams of flare-like golden and black flames surged from his wings, propelling him higher.

His black and sleek armor fitting around his powerful-looking body gleamed with the black metal and the dark purple crystals, creating a night sky-like scenery as the golden and purple light of the solar flares bursting from the cracks within his armor refracted within them.

The purple and gold of the superhot solar flares mixed with the absolute blackness of the near-zero temperatures, obscuring the dragon's true form.

The crystal golden and purple horns, claws, and spikes glowed faintly with the golden and blue veins intervening within them.

'Haha, these meta points were definitely worth it. Finally, I don't look like colorful candy.' He always considered his body beautiful, even when it played with colors.

However, even he had to admit that reducing it to three colors made it look even better, 'Bye-bye mixture of red, blue, and purple crystals. Bye, my rainbow-colored gem on my forehead. Now, you shall be only purple with a glint of gold.'

In general, he made all crystal parts deep purple and all the glowing elements purple while making the base black, blending perfectly with the colors of his restyled apocalyptic storm element.

'Now is a good time. The continent is in the chaos left by the demon and the angel. Now is my turn to finish it and take over.' The dragon's eyes dangerously gleamed as he imagined the collapsing lines, kingdoms, and armies after the traitors showed up

'Truly, the rings giving eternal youth were a brilliant idea. They took it and now they are mine.' Even he wouldn't dare to guess the level-up of the infiltration.

It was finally time to move all his secret forces spread over the entire continent and take it all in one swift move.

The wyrms and others that accepted his call for arms were all waiting for his signal.

The signal of the last true dragon and a dragon lord to start the war.

'No one will even know who is attacking and why until it will be too late. It is going to be my own order sixty-six.'

However, before that, he still had to do one last thing: fulfill his promise.

The connection formed between him and his minion, 'Come my minion, it is time for me to fulfill my promise. It is time for you to shed the last chains of mortality binding you.'

The young elf gulped down as she walked through the world of magma, her fair skin not reacting to the blazing heat.

She couldn't tell what her master meant, but she could feel its severity from the thoughts he sent her, 'All these preparations that I took, all for this.'

She clenched her fist as he refused to die, 'I must succeed. There are still a lot of things that I didn't explore.'

Her heterochromatic eyes glinted as she thought about the crazy ideas from the new assistant her master found.

The unimaginably oppressive aura of the dragon constantly pressed on her as if calling her to approach. She walked closer and closer to the unnatural darkness whirling in front of her as if it was alive. Golden and purple bursts of heat and light flashed and violently swirled within it.

'They grew stronger again... this feels too unnatural. If dragons could grow so fast they would rule over this world by now.'

Finally, she reached the edge of the storm, her body refusing to take a step any closer, feeling like her death would be swift if she even got close to touching it.

'No, that is not correct. I should be dead only by getting this close. It is the master who is protecting me. What even is this element? It feels familiar to mine, but much, much higher tier.'

The familiar voice filled with majesty brought her out of her thoughts like a bucket of cold water, a sleeper out of bed, "Drink my minion, drink! This is my reward for your service."

A droplet of molten gold, shining so brightly it looked like the sun condensed into a single speck, flew out and slowly approached her.

The dread filled her as her dress and hair waved under the energy radiating out of it.

It wasn't like the previous red droplets that allured her. This one was screaming that it was something that no regular being should approach. It was the same fear stopping one from sticking their hand into a pot of boiling water.

'I am sure the master will protect me.' She opened her mouth with a mixture of fear and even a trace of excitement, and the golden droplet shot straight into them.
