Chapter 466 Her Bargain

A vein bulged in Izanami's head as she watched the scene in front of her.

This pair had been laughing together… for five whole minutes!

Nothing in the world was that funny! The latest_epɪ_sodes are on_the ɴovel(ꜰ)ɪre.nᴇt

By now, neither Abaddon nor Lailah had any air left in their lungs and simply made concerning wheezing noises as they slapped the wood floor heartily.

Finally, the couple ceased their laughter gradually as they wiped each other of their running tears.

With their sides still aching, they sat up on the ground and tried to regain a semblance of dignity.

"S-Sorry, ancestor. My husband and I just found your words to be quite amusing." Lailah giggled.

"…Why?" Izanami questioned.

Abaddon and Lailah glanced at each other before intertwining their hands together in a loving gesture.

"We mean no disrespect, ancestor, but the questions you asked just seemed so pedestrian that we couldn't help but laugh at them."

"Not just us, but everyone that shares our bed has moved past those trivial little roadblocks." Abaddon added.

"Our love for each other goes past the physical, and eclipses any and all disagreements we could have."

"I'm fully aware that my wives aren't just objects to satiate my lust or ego. I would love them in any form, shape, or state. Just as they learned to love me in the same manner."

Briefly, Abaddon shifted into a much shorter and chunkier human, a sicklier and weaker looking young dragon, and a seven headed horror who'd shrunk down so that he could actually fit inside the shack.

Lailah gave each form a rather intimate kiss on the cheek, almost as if there were no difference between them at all.

In the end she changed herself- into a gorgeous white serpent almost ten meters long.

She gave her husband a playful nuzzle on his center head before nipping at the bone-like mask covering his faces.

"Although I will say that he does have trouble keeping up with my lectures sometimes and tries to distract me with sex..." she said pointedly.

Even as a horrifying dragon, Abaddon shuddered imperceptibly. 'So much math... so many numbers... my greatest nightmare.'

Studying with powers and engaging in life or death battles was something that Abaddon could do all day.

But if you wanted to see him break down and become frustrated beyond what was humanely possible, all you had to do was show him a book of quadratic equations and abstract algebra, and he would practically be ready to collapse in on himself.

Did his brain work more efficiently than a super computer? Yes.

Did he want to use it's capacity for that? No.

He thought it could be better served to find new and more creative ways to give his wives orgasms.

Y'know, important things.

"But I can say one thing about my husband that has always made me proud..." Lailah said sweetly.

"My cooking?"

"No, Abaddon."

lightsnοvεl "It's my jokes, isn't it?"

"Those are more detrimental, darling."

All seven of Abaddon's mouths fell open with looks of betrayal on them.

Lailah laughed melodically as she wrapped herself more tightly around her husband's scaly chest and arms.

"It is that no matter the time, place, or circumstance, my husband has always listened to me without question... The amount of trust he places in me is my greatest joy, and it is worth more than all of our riches, powers, or status."

As Izanami listened to the love shared between her descendent and her husband, she began to feel slightly reflective.

She thought the love that she shared with her own ex-husband was similar to theirs at first, but that wasn't the case.

The moment that she became... this, her husband had run away from her in disgust and horror, somersaulted into the arms of other women, and forcefully sealed her inside of Yomi so that she could never escape.

And all after she had literally given her life to give birth to her child... he was still so ungrateful and ended their marriage without a second thought.

*Flash!*

A burst of white light filled the room temporarily, and when it died down Izanami was just a little bit different.

Her skin was no longer grey and rotting, although it was still deathly pale.

Her eyes weren't entirely black anymore either, and now contained a bit of white like a living person.

In this form, it was clear just how much she resembled Lailah and especially her mother; and it wasn't a stretch to say that both of them had inherited their beauty from her.

She wiped away the single tear of black water that fell from her eye as she kept her gaze locked onto the rotting floorboards.

"Your love.. it is such a beautifu... Can you two stop that?"

Abaddon and Lailah were completely absorbed in their own little world; nuzzling against each other and giving their version of monster kisses.

"Hm?"

"Oh, ancestor, when did you change?"

*Sigh*

Izanami didn't know if she should have been envious of this couple's ignorance or irritated by it.

"Ah, that reminds me." Abaddon suddenly said.

He went back to his normal, handsome appearance and Lailah did the same before crawling into his lap.

"Since you didn't come here for Lailah or her mother... why have you chosen to side with me?" he asked.

Izanami's heartbroken maiden act seemed to disappear in an instant as she twisted her face into a mortifyingly hateful sneer.

Once again, the infested wounds in her skin began to start opening up.

"You and you alone can do what needs to be done... thousands of years I spent trapped in the dark, with no light to guide me and no warmth to shelter me.. if Camazotz had not freed me and proposed this allegiance, there is where I likely would have stayed."

'Camazotz did this? That was very good of him.' Lailah thought.

'Indeed... I need to think of a way to reward him... what do bats like to have as treats?'

Lailah seemed like she was about to answer when Izanami blurted out the rest of her request and nearly stopped her mind cold.

"Without my power, I am not free to take revenge on the one who betrayed me myself. That is where I need you. I want you to break him, embarrass him, and destroy everything that he holds dear and bring him before me. If you do this, I will swear my support to you, and aid your faction with all I am able."

Briefly, Abaddon and Lailah had no choice but to blink the surprise out of their eyes.

"Byhim, I assume you are talking about Izanagi?" Abaddon clarified.

"Yes!"

"Is he also a primordial being by chance?" Lailah asked.

"He is, though filthy he may be!"

Lailah and Abaddon looked at each there for a couple of moments without saying anything.

It was clear that they were having a very intimate internal discussion without even using words or thoughts for that matter.

""...Okay."" They agreed at once.

Izanami didn't know what she was expecting, but the cavalier attitude she received to confirm their bargain wasn't exactly it.

This wasn't like she had just asked for a frozen chicken from the grocery store, you know?

Izanagi was still a primordial being just like her; only his powers would not be restricted and bound to one particular location.

"...Might I know why your decision seems to be such an easy one?" she asked, full of curiosity.

Abaddon scratched the back of his head absentmindedly; completely sure of just how insane he may have sounded.

"How do I say this... I no longer fear the primordials as I once did. A few are already subject for elimination so adding another to the list doesn't seem like such a tall order."

Again, Izanami was starting to feel like this dragon and his family were more strange than even the rest of the gods knew about.

"However, it will have to wait for a bit, Ancestor." Lailah said gently. "We have a bit of pressing business we're attending to as a family right now, so I'm afraid your revenge on Izanagi will have to wait just a little longer."

Izanami ran her fingers through her black hair and took several deep breaths.

"I.. have waited millennia for my revenge... I can wait a little more if need be." she said calmly. "But I would hear what troubles the lord of monsters so much that it would require his full attention?"

Abaddon saw no harm in telling Izanami the truth, so he did not hesitate to do so.

"My wives and I will travel to Tehom. We have ben preparing for this for a long time now and it is currently our greatest focus. This will be our most trying battle yet."

Izanami nodded in understanding; her own knowledge of the abyss being somewhat limited due to her eons of imprisonment.

However, she knew it's rulers were said to be no less powerful than her.

And with every new coronation, they are said to grow even stronger.

"Just you and your wives? You will not take your army with you?"

Immediately, Abaddon shook his head.

"No. Everyone will be staying here. Where it is safe." he said firmly.

He was no stranger to the unknown, and knew that when going into battle one can never fully anticipate what they will get into.

But the ruler of the abyss was an outerversal being; just like he used to be.

His dragons weren't ready for something like that yet.

He would always act for their betterment whenever possible, and this too would be no different.
